Peacefully at his home in Priceville, Ontario on December 21, 2012 at the age of 94. Loving Husband of the Late Sarah Ann (nee Eccleston). Beloved Father of Norman and Annie of Pemberton, B.C. , DeAnn and William (2001) Christie of Caledon, Ont., Raymond Hillifer and Rhonda Ross of Chatsworth, Ont., Kathleen and Andy Macintosh of Orangeville, Ont. Dear Grandfather of Cheryl and Bruce Fischer of Waterloo, Ont., Adele Peter Larkin of Ucluelet, B.C., Amanda and Shane Szocs of Whistler, B.C., Jacqueline and Stuart Ridley of Hillsburgh, Ont., Susan and Todd Patterson of Erin, Ont., Donald and Suzanne Christie of Caledon, Ont., Sarah and Larry Scott of Keswick, Ont., Robin and Jason Mackay of Caledonia, Ont., Tom and John Hillifer of Vancouver, B.C., Jonathon (2003), Brittany Macintosh and Dan Coladipietro of Orangeville, Ont. Cherished Great Grandfather to Sam, Sarah, Anastasia, Redman, Takicho, Solomon, Zada, Victoria, Evan, Cullen, Camryn, Brianna, Isabella, Malcom, Garrett, Julia, Nicholas, Justin and Leila.
Reginald was born in Dudley, England on September 27, 1918, served with the RAF during WWII as a Commando, Tail Gunner and Wireless Operator from May 8, 1939 to November 1945. Reg Immigrated to Canada in 1954 and worked at Orenda Engines as a metal machinist and polisher. He was also involved in the production of the CF-105 Avro Arrow. Reg retired at 65 and moved to Priceville, Ontario with his wife Sarah Ann.
A Celebration of Reg’s Life will be held Thursday January 10, 2012 at Grey Gables Long Term Care, 206 Toronto Street South, Markdale, Ontario at 11 am.
