It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pietro Quadrini on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the age of 96.
Beloved husband of the late Maria, Pietro was a devoted and loving father to Roberto (Rita) and Enrico (Nancy). He was a cherished grandfather to Sonia (Gianni Di lorio), Anthony (Alesandra Panzica), Christopher (Bridget), Michael (Adriana), and Sarah (Ryan Bemister) and a proud great-grandfather to Mikayla, Alessandro, Luca, Marco, Giulia, Ethan, Aurora and Christopher.
Pietro was born on August 17, 1929, in Isola del Liri, in the province of Frosinone, Lazio, to Marietta (Spalvieri) and Antonio Quadrini. He grew up alongside his loving siblings Vincenzo (Lucia), Enrico, and Elvira (Vincenzo).
Pietro's life was a testament to laughter, friendship, and above all, deep love for his wife and family. In pursuit of a better future, he worked as a miner in Belgium, where he narrowly escaped the Marcinelle mining disaster of 1956, which claimed the lives of 262 miners. Following this life-altering event, Pietro returned to Italy to reunite with his family and later settled in Rome.
In 1967, Pietro made the courageous decision to move his family to Toronto, where he worked as a welder until his retirement, building a new life through dedication and hard work.
He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and was an avid hunter, often organizing group hunts that brought together family and friends. Pietro was also a proud member of the Bersagliere Association, where he played an active role in organizing religious celebrations, galas, and special events. Through the Association, Pietro and Maria shared many joyful evenings in the company of dear friends.
Pietro will be remembered for his strength, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
May the Lord guide him gently into eternal peace, embraced by the everlasting love of his family and friends.
If desired, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Pietro.
