Pia Salvador, a beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2026, at Markham Stouffville Hospital surrounded by her loving son. She is predeceased by her husband Rino Salvador and will be greatly missed by her son Agostino.
Born on October 24, 1934, in Valvasone, Italy to the late Agostino and Lalia Manarin. Pia preserved the hardships of growing up during the depression and WW II and on July 5, 1959, she married the love of her life Rino. Shortly thereafter they left for Canada to start their new life together and brand-new adventures, difficult and challenging as they were.
Pia was the heart and soul of our home and family a dedicated wife and mother who put her family relatives and friend's well-being first and foremost. Nothing brought her more joy than welcoming everyone to the house and ensuring there was plenty food and laughter during their visits.
Pia was a hard worker and loved her garden and flowers which brought her much joy as she would spend hours outdoors tending to them. During the winter months Pia with her family loved to complete massive jigsaw puzzles which were proudly displayed. Pia loved nature especially the family German Shepherds which she took on long walks and the company of the family bird. She would talk non-stop about them to everyone.
Later in life Pia discovered a hidden talent of colouring, it brought her such joy and pride, she loved showing visitors her work.
Mom, your life on earth ended the day before your birthday so God can take you into his arms for you to start your blessed new life on your birthday which you richly deserved.
Pia will be greatly missed by her son and all those who knew her.
