Phyllis Elizabeth Bruner (nee McCready)

October 26, 1931 - January 3, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Ray Bruner. A loving mother of Carol (Mike Sindrey) and Janet. Grandmother of Christopher (Aurora), Curtis (Carly), Kyle and Meagan. Great-grandmother of Everly.

At the age of 17, Phyllis left her native Ireland and began a new life in Canada. She settled in Toronto with Ray, where together they built a loving home and raised their family. Phyllis devoted more than 30 years to her career at The Bay, found great joy in gardening, and cherished the many trips she shared with Ray and friends. In later years, she developed a deep devotion to her faith, and her sense of family expanded to warmly include her fellow church members. Phyllis’s welcoming nature and generous heart brought family and friends together throughout her life.

Phyllis was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

Cremation has taken place.
