Phillip "Phil" Laird

Laird, Phillip Baxter (longtime employee of Oldcastle Glass) – born February 14th, 1952, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents James Baxter and Kathleen (nee Smith). Devoted husband of Carol. Loving father of Jim, Jordan and Erin. Also survived by brothers Dennis (Heather) and Michael (Darlene); brother in law Wayne McNeely (Bonnie) and their families. A heartfelt thank you to Dr Reinhartz for giving Phil the comfort and support he needed. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Sanctuary Park Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Humber River Regional Foundation – cancer clinic would be appreciated.
