Peter Vrakas, aged 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Toronto on May 24, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and presence of his loving family. 

Born in Hotousa, Greece, Peter’s journey took him from serving in the Greek Army in his homeland to building a vibrant life in Canada. While he was a hardworking man, his true life’s work was the relationships he nurtured. He was the devoted husband of Katerina, and the proud father of Stavros and Sophia (Constantinos). His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Nat, Peter, and Nicholas. 

Peter’s heart, however, was big enough to encompass everyone he met. Whether through his active dedication to the Greek community and his beloved Syllogo , or the way he opened his home to friends and extended relatives, he had a rare gift for making everyone feel like they belonged. He was a man who found his greatest joy in a full house, a shared story, and the deep bonds of kinship that stretched far beyond his own doorstep. A faithful member of the Greek Orthodox community, Peter lived a life of service and connection that will be remembered by all who knew him.
