It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Hideg on June 20th, 2026, in his 70th year.
Anyone who knew Peter would say he was the kindest, generous, sweetest soul whose greatest joy was spending time with those he loved, traveling and photography. The type of person who would love to talk to anyone about anything, give you the shirt off his back, and then invite you over for food and drinks.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Anne Hideg, mother Gitta, and his sons Christopher (Kelsey), and Jonathan (Caron), and granddaughter Esme.
Peter dedicated 45 years of being an Electrician before his retirement last October.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Peter's life at Ward Funeral Home "Brampton Chapel" on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Ward Funeral Home Chapel followed by interment at Assumption Catholic Cemetery. A reception with food and refreshments will follow at their home in Mississauga immediately after the interment.
His kindness, laughter, and love for family and friend will be remembered always by those fortunate enough to have known him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
