Paul Vasiliou

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Paul Vasiliou. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, known for his kind heart, generosity, and willingness to help anyone without judgment.

Paul worked for De Havilland Aircraft (now Bombardier) for most of his career and took pride in his work. Later in life, he showed incredible strength and resilience, surviving bypass surgeries and even beating lung cancer. He loved his weekly trips down to High Park for breakfast and a visit to the zoo or up to Woodbine to watch the ponies and visit old friends for chats.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Linda, daughter Tammy (Sean), son Richard, granddaughter Megan, sister Victoria (Claude), nephew Danny (Maxine), and nieces Vera (Bozin) & family and Michelle and family and all extended family & friends. He was predeceased by his brother Peter and sisters Frances Alushi (Alex) and Hellen Vassel.

Paul was passionate about sports, particularly football, baseball, and horse racing, and had a lifelong love of jazz music. His warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

There will be no visitation, his request was for everyone to remember the good times you had with him; he will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held later after the family has had time to grieve. In this time, if you so wish, we ask that in lieu of flowers being sent to the family, a donation be made to two causes very close to his heart that he supported: the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Paul’s kindness, courage, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
