Patricia Ann Zan

Trish Zan

With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Zan. Born in Toronto on December 6, 1973, passed away on November 30, 2025, she was the young age of 51 years.

Trish was the 11th child of 12 and was raised in Toronto. Anyone who was lucky to have been in her life would tell you she had an enormous heart and radiated kindness and love to everyone she knew, even those that only had the pleasure of knowing her for a short time. She was the biggest cheerleader (Captain) for everyone she loved, (and still has the pompoms to prove it).

She took jazz and dance lessons as a little girl and would break out her moves from time to time whether just being silly or to put a smile on your face. Her impromptu one liner would have you keeled over from laughing and wondering what to expect next. She never proclaimed to be an artist, yet she excelled at everything she put her mind to including painting, decorating and the absolutely stunning floral arrangements she made for her wedding.

Trish loved many things, and she loved her family and friends fiercely. She was especially closest to her sister Janet Hennessy and Sherrie Terrell as well as her closest friends (and sisters) Michelle Rees and Giovanna Pileggi although she never had children, she thought of her niece and nephew Brittaney and Austin Hennessy as her own. But her rock was her husband Phil. They had met at a young age and were devoted to each other. Even after he passed away, she shared everything with him and longed for the day they would be together again.

She had a long battle with cancer, and she fought very hard. She amazed all of us who were with her during the last few years because she was so strong. She used her humor and wit along with her love of life to get through each day. She would say “No matter what happens, I win. If I stay or go, I will be with the ones I love”.

Trish will be missed by her husband Phillip Robert Zan (predeceased), her parents John Robert and Mary Monica Terrell (predeceased) sisters Gloria Pratt and Linda Walton (predeceased) and brothers Randy, Dwayne (wife Jackie) and Donnie Terrell (predeceased) She will be missed by sisters Kathy Fisher( husband Dannie), Janet Hennessey (husband Bruce) and Sherrie Terrell as well as brothers Steve Pratt, Thomas Conner(wife Robin) and Robert Terrell (wife Suzanne). She will also be greatly missed by the very many nephews and nieces and cousins near and far.

A FINAL THOUGHT

To Those Whom I Love and Those Whom Love Me

When I am gone, release me please, let me go.

I have so many things to see and do,

You must not tie yourself to me with too

Many tears.

Be thankful we had many good years.

I gave you my love, and you can only guess

How much you have given me happiness.

My time had come and I went peacefully,

With my family surrounded and holding me.

So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must,

It is only for a while that we must part,

So treasure the memories you have in your

Heart.

I won´ẗ be far away for life goes on.

And if you need me, call and I will come.

Though you cannot see or touch me, I will

Be near.

And if you listen with your heart, you will hear.

All my love around you, soft and clear.

And when it is your time for you leave

leave,

I will be there to guide you to lessen the grief.
