Woods, Patricia Jean (1953-2011)

It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Pat Woods at Providence Health Care on June 27, 2011. After a five month battle with cancer, she died peacefully with her husband by her side. We would like to express thanks to the staff at both Providence and Sunnybrook for their care, help and support during this period.

Pat is survived by her husband Douglas Woodcock, sister in law Barbara Sheppard, nephew Andrew Sheppard (Mun Wai Chau), niece Ainsley Tsokos (John Tsokos), great nephew Zachary Tsokos and numerous cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Oswald and Molly Woods and her in-laws Claude and Winnifred Woodcock.

Pat spent her career as a school teacher; the last 26 years at Chaminade College School. She loved traveling and spent most of her March school breaks on Florida beaches and her summers around lakes. She enjoyed the theatre and shopping with friends. She will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday July 5, 2011 at the Ward Funeral Home-Woodbridge Chapel ( 4671 Highway #7, Woodbridge, Ontario) at 11:30 am with visitation one hour prior.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Pat may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
