Patricia Jean Morley

With deep sadness we announce the passing of our dearly loved mother, Pat Morley (nee Irwin), peacefully at her home in Innisfil Ontario on May 23, 2025 at the age of 97. Born on September 17, 1927 to W. Arthur Irwin and Jean Olive Smith of Toronto, she is survived by her siblings, Sheila Irving of Sidney B.C., and Neal Irwin of Toronto, and dearly missed by her six children, Sharon Philip (Derek), Glenn Morley (Elaine), Linda Crookes (Brian), Jennifer Osther (Roy, deceased), Carol McBride (David, deceased, Phill Brown), Shelagh Morley (Glen Morrison). Adored grandmother to Shannon Crookes, Lyndsay Crookes Money, Brock Morley, Kori Osther Ambrogio, Kathleen (Katie) Osther, William McBride, Andrew McBride, and Robert McBride. Proud great-grandmother to McKenna Nicholson, Cora Money, Brock McBride, Audrey McBride, Jamie Ambrogio, Leo Ambrogio, Wyatt McBride, and the newest, Forrest McBride, born 2 weeks before her passing. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Brock Fuller Morley, who died in 1989 at Meaford, Ontario. 

She graduated from the University of Toronto in 1949 with a degree in Art and Archaeology, and worked before motherhood at the Royal Ontario Museum in the Far Eastern section. She created amazing gardens wherever she lived, and sketched and painted in her youth. She passed on her love of all forms of music to her children, and was sad to give up singing in her choir. Full of love, laughter, and resilience, she touched the lives of all who knew her with her “can do” spirit. She was always a gentle influence in our lives. She was our hero.
