It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dearest Pasquale Botticchio on November 5, 2023 in his 80th year. He was born in Pescina, Abruzzo, Italy to Franco and Concetta Botticchio, with whom he is now reunited. One of six children, he is now also reunited with siblings Roberto (Serafina, predeceased), Sandra (Pompeo, predeceased), and Carmine (Giuseppina). He will be greatly missed by siblings Maria (Sandro, predeceased), and Tonino (Gianna).

Pasquale moved to Toronto at the age of 18 by himself in search of a bright future. Soon after he met the love of his life Ida. He was a loving father to Tiziana (Joseph), and Gianpaolo. Devoted and doting grandfather to Gabriel. He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, and he will be sadly missed by countless friends.

He took great pride in his work, opening multiple grocery stores in the Greater Toronto Area with his brother and brother-in-law. In his free time Pasquale enjoyed bowling, watching soccer, golfing and gardening. However, he enjoyed nothing more than spending time and playing with his beloved grandson, Gabriel.

Pasquale was very easy going and always had a smile on his face no matter what life brought to him. He will be remembered as a very loving and caring father.

Pasquale will be greatly missed by his family and everyone who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Pasquale's name to Sinai Health Foundation.

Friends and Family will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church (8500 Islington Avenue, Woodbridge). Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
