Pamela McNeil

With great regret and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Pamela on Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Toronto General Hospital, in her 57th year. She was the beloved wife of Jim for 28 years and the devoted and proud mother of Tyler and loving daughter of Joan and her step-father Morris Best. She is survived by her siblings Norman (Lyn), Jo-Anne (Neil), Billy (Sharon), Russ (Heather) and Alan. Pamela is the Loving Aunt of Chris (Karen), Carla (Rob), Matt and Jonathan (Kelly), Sharron (Mike), Merrilee (Tim), Michael (Amy), Jorden (Kurt), Ryen, Andrew, Adele, Celeste, Nicole, Zackary, Louise, Terry and Thomas; the Loving Great Aunt of Hunter, Brandon, Caleb, Andrew, Juliana, Rachel, Jason (Shannon), Amber, Samantha, Nicole, Paul, Rourke, Brock, Bree and Murphy and Loving Great-Great Aunt to Cameron and Peyton.
Pamela was a person who accepted any challenges that came her way, and remained positive, honest and above all, resourceful and self-reliant. She was brave and strong during her illness and throughout her life. Pamela never hesitated to help anyone in need and was a true friend to all. Her warm, sincere personality and beautiful smile will be remembered by all forever.
The family greatly appreciates the care and kindness she received from the dedicated Nurses and Doctors at Toronto General Hospital 9 Eaton South Unit and the ICU at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, as well as the special individuals and Doctors who were so pleasant and compassionate while undergoing treatment (Radiation and Chemotherapy) at Princess Margaret Hospital.
The family will receive friends and family at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville, Ontario (905) 844-3221, on Tuesday, November 13th, at 12 noon for a memorial service and reception. Flowers welcome or memorial donations may be made to the above mentioned Hospitals and specific units.
