It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Orlando Guido on December 24, 2025, at the age of 89. Orlando was born in Zumpano, Calabria, Italy on March 9, 1936, to Francesco and Maria and was a loving brother to Rita and Ida (predeceased).

Orlando married the love of his life, Rosina, on October 13, 1962, in Toronto, and together they were the devoted parents of Francesco, Georgio (Cynthia), Roberto and Maria. He was a loving Nonno to Michael (Sophia), and Amanda. He will be greatly missed by his many extended family and friends. He has been reunited with the love of his life Rosina.

Orlando loved to spend his free time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed teaching them how to make traditional foods, like sausage, salami and wine. He also enjoyed spending time in his garden, tending to his tomatoes, fig trees and flowers.

He will be fondly remembered for his compassionate, his creativity and sense of humour, as he loved to tell jokes and laugh with family and friends.

If desired, donations may be made in Orlando's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Ward Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
