Norman Lang

June 19,1929-January 13, 2014

Passed away after a lengthy illness and surrounded by love. Norman was born in Brantford, Ont., only son of Hazel and William Lang. Norm grew up happily around Finch Transport in Brantford where his father was the manager. He was a sea cadet at an early age and spoke many times about voyages on the great lakes. He was a curler, a golfer and a great first baseman, a long time member of Brampton Golf Club where he spent many happy hours both on and off the course. His only sibling sister Geraldine Hayes predeceased him. He leaves his wife Janet of 58 years, two sons Norman Jr. and Noel; daughter Janette (James) Pineau; six dearly loved grandchildren Tyler, Michael, Vannesa, Sarah, Jacob, Christianna and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Faith Manor, Holland Christian Homes for their kind and thoughtful care for the past two and a half years. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. at St. Bartholomews United Church 22 Abbey Rd. Brampton L6W 2T8 followed by a reception in the church hall.
