Nina Petrovska

We are deeply saddened to announce the untimely passing of Nina Petrovska on October 5, 2025, at the age of 74.

Nina was the incredible wife of 44 years to Igor. She was the best in the world mother to Kyryl, the younger overachiever sister to Zhanna, and the beloved daughter-in-law to Galyna. She was the loving grandmother to Christina, Alyssa, and Matviy.

Nina was born in Kyiv, Ukraine in 1951 to Adam and Lyudmila. After graduating from Kyiv National University, she went on to teach there for many years. In 1998, Nina and her family immigrated to Canada, where she embraced a new chapter in her life becoming an award winning personal banker at CIBC for 13 years, known to help thousands in the community with their banking needs.

Nina will be remembered for her cheerful spirit, compassion, and selflessness. Her beautiful singing voice and a bright smile uplifted those around her and will be remembered by all who knew her. She lived a life full of love and kindness, setting an example for generations to follow.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. An interment will take place at Beechwood Cemetery at a later date.
