Nicola Mariani

Passed away peacefully in his 93rd year on Saturday, May 20, 2017. Predeceased by his wife Giovanna (2004). Loving father of Frank (Carmela), Mario (Caterina), Luisa (Lorenzo Valeri), Assunta (Franco Vani), and Luigi (Rosemary). He is survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Born in Ceprano (FR), Italy, Nicola left for Canada in 1953 in search of a better life for he and his family. After working in Alberta for a year, he settled in Toronto and began working as a carpenter. He was finally able to reunite with his wife and children in 1957 where they settled in their home in the St. Clair and Landsdowne area.
Nicola was a proud man and he lived for his family. He instilled in all of us the importance of hard work and that above all else love of family is what matters most in this world. He will be greatly missed by all.
