Nicola Galloro

Nicola Galloro, lovingly known as Nonno Nick, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, at the age of 95, leaving behind a lasting legacy of love, faith, and unwavering devotion to family.

Born on March 25, 1930, in San Nicola da Crissa, Vibo Valentia, Italy, Nicola was the beloved son of Chiara and Vincenzo Galloro. As a young man, he courageously left his homeland to build a new life in Canada, guided by hope, determination, and a deep commitment to creating a beautiful and secure future for his family. Through hard work and quiet perseverance, he built a life rooted in dignity, stability, and opportunity, one that would shape generations.

Nicola was a man of deep faith and gentle spirit, known for his warm smile, humility, and steady presence. He expressed love and joy through every word he spoke and every action he took by showing up, serving others generously, and cherishing time with those he loved most. His greatest happiness was found at home, surrounded by family, laughter, conversation, and shared meals.

Nicola is survived by his beloved wife Felicia; his children Chiara (Enrico), Vince, and Nancy (Vince); his treasured grandchildren Lucy, Nick (Daria), John (Romilda), Francesca, and Dante; and his adored great‑grandchildren Matthew, Emily, and Sebastian. He is also survived by his brothers Fioravanti, Antonio, Nazzareno, and Lorenzo. He was predeceased by his brothers Michele and Mario, and his sister Rosa.

Nicola’s love lives on in the family he built, the lives he shaped, and the warmth he gave so freely.
