Nicky EmiliouÂ
Dec. 18, 1951 - Mar. 12, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother Nicky.
Loving Mother to 3 children: Emily (Marcelo), Mario (Necita) and Elizabeth (predeceased).
Grandmother to 9 grandchildren: Bryanna, Jeremy, Nicholas, Angelina, Maria, Kostas, Lukas, Andrew and Neo (predeceased).
Great Grandmother to 2 great grandchildren: Elias and Elesa.
Nicky was born in Limassol, Cyprus on Dec. 18, 1951. Emigrated to Canada in 1970 as a young 19yr old lady without knowing a word of English, looking for opportunities. Typical immigrant story of hardships in a foreign country without family support. Nicky embraced the Canadian culture and stayed true to her Cypriot roots.
Nicky was a strong, determined woman who loved life. Life was not always easy and even while she endured many hardships throughout her life, she was an empath and nurturer by nature - always there to help eveyone and anyone even before helping herself. Nicky had a heart of gold and a beautiful smile.
Family meant everything to her and was overjoyed in becoming a grandmother and great grandmother.
Nicky expressed her love to all of her family and friends through her selfless acts of kindness, amazing homemade food, being there when needed and spending quality time with everyone. Nicky always enjoyed spending time with family, friends and taking care of her grandchildren.
Nicky loved boardgames and taught her grandchildren games such as monopoly and snakes and ladders. One of her favorite things was playing cards and was a very creative score keeper..barely ever lost a game!
Nicky had a green thumb and loved gardening and taking care of her plants and flowers.
Thank you for being the best mother, grandmother and great grandmother. We will miss your love, beautiful smile and strength.
We love and cherish you forever in our hearts. We will miss you so much!
Until we meet again. May God grant you eternal peace.
