Zwaantje Sieuwertje (Nettie) Vanderboor (nee Hellinga)

Our beloved mother Nettie Vanderboor went peacefully to be with her Lord on Tuesday November 7 in her 100th year.

Predeceased by her husband Reinder, infant son Reinder, brothers Romke Hellinga, Lawrence Hellinga, sisters Jane Willemsma, Trix Oostdyk and daughter-in-law Sonja Vanderboor.

Survived by sister Ann; brother Charles (Dorothy) and sister-in-law Dorothy (Lawrence).

Dear mother of Tina and John Berkhuizen, Roely and Melanie, Bill, Rommie and Margaret, Marsha and Bob France, and Netty Ryan. Grandmother of 21; great-grandmother of 27 and great-great-grandmother of 1.

Nettie was a stay-at-home mother who was active in her church, her children's schools, the Lighthouse food bank and Holland Christian Homes. Once the children had left home, Nettie started a new career making stained glass windows at the family business - Luxfer Studios. Mom and Dad moved to Holland Christian Homes in 2010 where she continued to volunteer for many more years.

In lieu of flowers a memorial donation in our Mother's name to Holland Christian Homes would be appreciated.
