Nerissa Iacobelli, 49, of Oakville, Ontario, Canada passed away surrounded by loved ones on December 20th, 2025 at Etobicoke General Hospital.

Nerissa was born on July 12th, 1976 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to Vittorio and Elvezia Iacobelli. She was a beloved mother to Dante Vigna and a dear sister to Sabrina (Craig) and Arturo (Samaria).

Nerissa was a devoted servant of the City Of Brampton. Her unyielding spirit, pursuit of excellence, and deep love for both her public service and her family will be greatly missed. In her last years of life she utilized her immense strength in fighting a courageous battle against ALS.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge (just west of Pine Valley Dr.) on Monday, December 22nd, 2025 from 2-4 p.m and 6-8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday December 23rd, 2025 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church 11873 The Gore Road, Brampton. Entombment to follow at Glendale cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the ALS Society of Canada in Nerissa’s memory.
