It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Nandino (Nando) Ferraro at the age of 85.
He is survived by his wife Ida, of 59 years, and their four children Laura, Frank (Lori) Elena (Gianni) and Gino (Tanya). He also has 6 grandchildren, Giordana, Christian, Isabella
Mikaila, Francesco, and Alessia.
He also leaves behind his brothers and sisters, Antonio, María, Wanda, Egidio, Franco, and Rosanna in Italy.
He will be missed by his sisters and brother in-laws nieces and nephews.
Predeceased are Elena, Liliana, Pietro and also by his parents Francesco and Amelia.
Nandino was born in S. Pietro in Guarano, Cosenza Italy, and immigrated to Canada with his wife and 2 children in 1967. He was a factory worker, bought his first home and had 2 more children.
He had a passion for hunting and later taught his 2 boys the skill. He enjoyed gardening, eating hot peppers, drinking wine and walking his dog. He was always there to help out a friend or family member whenever asked. He loved to joke around.
His memory will be cherished in those who were fortunate to have had him in their lives.
Our hearts and minds will be filled with memories and love for him.
In lieu of flowers donation's in Nando's memory to Sick Kid's Hospital or the Heart and Stroke Foundation is much appreciated.
