September 24, 1922 – April 4, 2014

Peacefully surrounded by his family after a brief illness. Michael was born in Senglea, Malta. He was the beloved husband of Mary (nee Naudi) for 62 years and a devoted father to Mary Rose, Patricia, Anna, Valerie, the late Doreen, and Victoria. Nannu Mike will be greatly missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Michael’s career as a civil servant spanned 45 years and he retired as an office manager for the Federal Dept. of Records Keeping. His character was marked by his love of detail in all that he did, his witty sense of humour, and his strong sense of responsibility. He had a genuine love of gardening, big band music and wildlife. He was a devout Roman Catholic who gave generously of his time to All Saints Church as a Eucharistic minister. He will be sadly missed and forever loved. The family will receive friends at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road, Toronto on Monday April 7 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral mass will be held at All Saints Parish on Tuesday April 8, 2014 at 1:30 pm. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Road, Mississauga.
