In Loving Memory of Michael Donovan September 23 1942 – May 8, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Donovan, beloved husband, father, grampy and great grandfather, who died peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the age of 82.

Mike is survived by his devoted and beloved wife of 55 years, Joan (nee Dickson); his loving children, Christine Krause (Rick) and Jarrad (Maxine); his cherished granddaughters, Shannon (Robert) and Jennifer; his great-grandchildren Evelyn and Harrison; brother Arthur (Anna) of Saint John, New Brunswick and many nieces and nephews.

He was a kind and gentle man with a quiet wisdom, deep curiosity, and gentle humour who was devoted to his family and enjoyed history, travel, playing cards and maybe the odd chocolate chip cookie or two.

He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, curiosity, and enduring love. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A memorial gathering will take place at the Ward Funeral Home (Brampton Chapel) 52 Main Street, South Brampton on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 3-5 p.m. In "lieu" of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
