Melvin Adolphus Crooks

Melvin Adolphus Crooks, 83, of Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada, born in Westmoreland, Jamaica, passed away peacefully surrounded by his friend, Alex, and daughter, Sandra, on July 16, 2026.

In the highlight of his career, he was an entrepreneur owner operator in the transportation industry of trucking and owner and trainer as a barber.

Melvin was predeceased by his sister, Ivy Montaque, children, Sandra Crooks, Justin Crooks, Michael Crooks and Jackson Crooks. Grandchildren, Chantell Cowan, Keyon Moore, Nitaljah Moore, Jahlel Crooks David, Jayla Crooks, Jakaylia Crooks and Jaiden Crooks. Greatgrandchild, Gigi Moore. Uncle and friend to many.

Melvin enjoyed cooking and music, he played the harmonica fluently and was in the process of learning to play the guitar and banjo. He was known for his impeccable dressing and dancing well. He was kind, a good friend to many and he was known as Papa or Uncle.

A private funeral service will be held Monday, July 27th at 10:00 a.m. however, online livestream is available to the public in the link provided below. The service will be recorded for later viewing.
