Mary Morris

Mary Morris (Elliott) lifetime resident of Brampton and descendent of the founding Elliott’s of the town, longtime dedicated employee of the former Peel Memorial Hospital, and lifetime member of St. Paul’s United Church.

Our amazing Mom and Nana left us peacefully early on July 25th. Like every challenge in her life, she faced her last with strength, determination and her “plan of action” still worrying more about others than herself and with a smile on her face to the end.

Loved and loving Mom and friend of Linda Hicks, Jim (Liz), and Wendy (Bryan), proud Nana of Jessica (Kris) and Mike and cherished Aunt of John, she will be profoundly missed but will live in our hearts and minds forever continuing to guide and advise us through life. Mary is pre-deceased by Husband Bill and Brothers Jack and Dick.

Mary was even Nana and happy guardian to the many family dogs past and present. Her treats and cuddles will be missed by Baxter, Morty, Newman and Jack.

While family was everything to her, she balanced work, play, and numerous volunteer activities throughout her life. Mary touched so many lives and was thankful for all of her friends with special mention to her life-long companions Jean, Beth and Queenie.

A truly remarkable and selfless woman, she always had room in her heart and home for one more. Mary will be missed by all whose lives she touched.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel”, 52 Main Street South (Hwy 10), Brampton on Sunday, July 28th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 30th at 11am at St. Paul’s United Church, 30 Main Street South, Brampton.
