Mary “Joanne” Amory (nee Guest)

February 7, 1937 – May 19, 2025

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our cherished mother, Mary “Joanne” Amory on May 19, 2025, at the age of 88. She was born in Barrie, Ontario to George and Myrtle Guest. She is survived by her two brothers, Ron (the late Midge), and Jack (Ann). Joanne is now reunited with all her loved ones, family and friends. 

She will be greatly missed by her four daughters Marlene (Richard), Gail (Mike), Jean (Raymond), and Joan (Thomas). She was the beloved grandmother of Jason (Frances), Melaney (Jeff), Cory (Giuliana), Marcus, Michele (Simon), Kelsey (Brock), and Jasmine (Nic). She will be forever in the hearts of her many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, extended family and friends. 

Her family meant the world to her, and she especially enjoyed spending time with them at family reunions. She also very much enjoyed her life at the Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf. They gave Mom much independence, support and happiness at the end of her life. She made many friends there and will be missed.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Marlene and Richard's home.
