Mary Margaret (Morris) Hayes

February 27, 1919 – September 7, 2014



Peacefully at Extendicare Brampton, in her 96th year, surrounded by her loving family, Mary is reunited with her parents Margaret and Mike Morris of Orillia on September 7, 2014. Survived by her five children, eleven grandchildren and her great granddaughter. Kathy (Graham) Wykes of Bracebridge, Marie (Bill) Colegate of Brampton, Kevin (Laureen) Hayes of Malton, Christine Kozak of Mississauga and Sylvia (Brian) of Brampton. Predeceased by brothers Owen and Carney and sister Eileen (Luke) Mitchell. Survived by her sister Piney Onyschuk. “Grami” will be sadly missed by Holly (Duong) and Tim, Julie (Christian), Andrew and Denise, Michael and Karen, Adam and Leanne, Lisa (Paul) and Laura (Christopher) and great granddaughter Adalyn. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel” 52 Main Street South, (Hwy 10) Brampton on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Airways 7411 Darcell Avenue , Mississauga at 10am. Interment Assumption Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society Peel Chapter or to any Children’s Charity of your choice. Please remember to visit Grami’s tree at the Orillia Park on Lake Couchiching nestled between the lake and the Champlain monument where she so loved. May she rest in peace.
