Martina Sciortino
October 19, 1936 – March 7, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Martina Sciortino on March 7, 2026, at the age of 89.
Martina will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews: Carmelo (Connie), Angela, Maria Teresa (Dalin), Martina (Fred), Angela (Filiberto), and Carmelo (Julia). She was also the beloved Zia of Anthony, Deanna, Maria, Lianna, Sal, Simona, Adrian, Gabriela, Gianluca, Marco, Leandro, and Ilenia. She is also survived by her dear sister-in-law, Adriana.
Martina is now reunited with her beloved parents, Angela and Carmelo; her siblings Antonino (Rosalia), Salvatore, and Santo (Francesca); and her cherished niece, Maria Angela.
Martina will be remembered for her strength, her values, and her deep love for family. She carried herself with quiet elegance and grace, and those who knew her remember her impeccable style and the care she brought to everything she did.
She had a remarkable gift for sewing and garment making. With patience and creativity, she could transform the simplest fabric into something beautiful. While living in Italy, she generously shared this knowledge with others, teaching them how to sew, create patterns, and cut garments with precision and care.
Martina leaves behind many memories that will be treasured by those who loved her. May she rest in peace, reunited with those who went before her, and forever remembered in the hearts of her family.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
