Thorn, Martha Louise – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a loving wife, mother, & grandmother on November 29th at the Village of Humber Heights, Toronto in her 78th year. Beloved wife of David Thorn(predeceased). Loving mother of Christopher David and Jeremy Alfred (Lori-Ann) Thorn. Cherished Grandmother of Rachel, Sarah, Nathan and Lincoln. Dear sister of Mary-Jane, Victoria and Theresa. Marti will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Marti cherished her family and friends, enjoyed raising a family in Weston and longed for summer days at the family cottage. Friends will be received at Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston on Thursday, December 8th from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, December 9th at 3pm. Cremation to follow at Riverside Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Breast Cancer Canada, or Michael Garron Hosptial would be appreciated. A special thank you to all of the staff at the village of Humber Heights for their care and compassion.
