Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday September 19, 2017 at the age of 92. Devoted husband of the late Ida. Proud father Claire (George Taccone), Anna (Paul Petrozza) ad Lucy (Earl McGibney). Cherished Nonno of Vincenzo (Debbie), Julia (Marco), Amanda (Dan), Mario (Carmela), Natalie (Jason), Joanna, Joseph, Erin and Jason. Loving Bisnonno of Gabriel, Paul, Jack, Jude, Andreas, Georgia, Megan, Matteo, Teana, Luca, Mikayla, Juliana, Sebastian, Ella and Aida. Mario will be sadly missed by his siblings Maria (predeceased Gennaro), Peter (Amelia) and Ida (Michele) and sister in law Angela and his many nieces and nephews. He has joined his beloved wife Ida, parents Giovanni and Chiara, siblings Vittorio, Lucia (Mario) and Carmine. Fondly remembered for his avid gardening, hardworking and for being a passionate fun family man.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy. 7 (west of Pine Valley Dr.), Woodbridge, 905-851-9100, on Thursday from 6-9 and on Friday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Church 8500 Islington Ave., Woodbridge on Saturday September 23rd, 2017 at 9 a.m. Entombment to follow at Glendale Cemetery.
