Marieta Maniezzo

“Marieta Alexandre Maniezzo (nee Emidio) passed away peacefully at Brampton Civic Hospital on Saturday July 1st 2023 surrounded by her loving family.



Marieta was the beloved wife of Michael Maniezzo and adored mother of Megan and Marisa Maniezzo.



She was the daughter of Maria Cinira Emidio and the late Rosil Emidio. She is survived by brother Luis Emidio (Christina) and nephews Eric and Tyler Emidio. She will also be missed by her father-in-law, Lino Maniezzo.



Marieta fought a long battle with cancer after being diagnosed in 2008. She was a strong and inspiring woman who did not let her illness get in her way. She loved spending time with her family and traveled as much of the world as she could. She often said “we did a whole lot of living in those 15 years.” Her passion for life, kind spirit, humour and unconditional love will live on, forever, in our memories.



Join the family in celebrating the beautiful memories of Marieta’s life at Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main Street South, Brampton on Thursday July 6th from 4:00pm to 9:00pm and on Friday July 7th from 2:30pm to 6:30pm with service to follow.



In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to make a donation in Marieta’s name to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society or Look Good Feel Better.”
