Passed peacefully in her sleep at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie
Beloved wife of Antonio for 58 years. Proud and loving mom of Mauro and his wife Diane, Paul and his wife Anna. Proud nonna to Marc-Anthony, Matthew, Isabella and Sofia. Proud aunt to Susan and son David.
Maria was born in Sant’Apollinare, Frosinone Italy in 1937 and immigrated to Canada in 1955. She married the love of her life Antonio on Dec 14 1959 and soon after she welcomed her first son Mauro in 1962 and closely after she welcomed her second son Paul in 1964.
Maria was a strong minded woman always spoke her mind which her close friend cherished. She loved family, worked hard and stood strong beside her husband throughout the years.
Her beloved hobby was crochet, she shared her air loom pieces with family and close friends which we will forever hold dear. Maria had a passion for singing, often on family occasions she would passionately sing her favourite songs which will be greatly missed by her family
She was truly an amazing person that will be will be missed by her family and all her friends. Maria now rests in peace please remember all the great memories and good times she gave us.
