Maria Louisa Rutte
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Maria Louisa Rutte, at the youthful age of 99 on October 10, 2023. She was a loving mother to Imelda, Simone (Rick) and Marieka (Rick). A proud and caring Oma to 6 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She volunteered for more than 25 years at Holland Christian Home, where she assisted with the Monday morning Catholic service. She loved gardening and enjoyed sewing and knitting. She always loved spending time with family and friends. Her home was always open to her relatives visiting Canada from Holland. Predeceased by her loving husband Henk (1989), and by sisters Rose (2002) and Fia (2023) in Holland.
Special thanks to Dr. Shirley Kellam (retired) and Dr. Jane Nixon for their care of her over the years and also to Aashmi and Selina for their care and compassion in her final days.
