Marie Yvonne Maragna (May 5, 1979 - June 1, 2026)

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that the family of Marie Yvonne Maragna announces her peaceful passing following a lengthy illness.

Marie approached life with tenacity and an unwavering passion for education. As a teacher with the Toronto Catholic District School Board, she shaped the minds and futures of her students with endless patience and care.

A dedicated teacher who touched countless lives, Marie will be deeply missed by her loving mother Joanne, and her siblings Anthony (Kyla), and Stephanie, and her extended family and friends.

Though her battle with illness was long and challenging, she faced it with fearlessness and courage. The family thanks the doctors, nurses, and members of medical staff who worked with Marie to address her medical journey. We thank Marie's nurse, Edwin, for his unwavering advocacy and support.

Marie leaves a beautiful legacy of kindness and will be forever missed by all who were lucky enough to know and be loved by her.

In honouring Marie's wishes, there will be no traditional funeral service. The family will be communicating details of a Celebration of Life at a later date.
