Passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on April 14, 2012 at the age of 81. Predeceased by her husband Giuseppe. Survived by her four sons Anthony (Margaret), Salvatore (Gail), Vincenzo (Nives) and Giuseppe. She will be greatly missed by her seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, brothers and sisters and her nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at The Toronto Western and Princess Margaret Hospital’s for their care and support. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (North of Lawrence) on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 18th, 2012 at 10am at St. Fidelis Church, 33 Connie St., Toronto. Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery. Donations may be made to the University Health Network Foundation in Maria’s memory.
