AMOR OMNIA VINCIT
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Di Giuseppe-Spina, who left us peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.
Maria was the devoted wife of John Spina for 38 beautiful years. She was the proud and loving mother of Jessica (Marco) and John-Paul (Jamille), and the adoring Nonna to her cherished granddaughter, Aurora.
Maria is now reunited in heaven with her beloved parents, Antonio and Giovanna, and her siblings Antonietta (Orazio), Rita (Giulio), and Bruno. She is lovingly remembered by her surviving brother Dante (Gina) and sister-in-law Rosina, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Born in Italy, Maria immigrated to Canada in 1974 alongside her parents, in search of adventure and new beginnings. With courage and resilience, she embraced her new home and forged her own path to success. Soon after, Maria met John, and from the moment they met, it was love at first sight. In time, they started a family of their own, raising their children with the same strong values and devotion that defined Maria’s life.
Maria will be remembered for her strength, determination, and boundless devotion to her family and friends. She was a selfless soul who always put others before herself, and her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will be deeply missed.
Her legacy of love and resilience lives on in those who had the privilege of knowing her.
May she rest in eternal peace.
