Maria Grazia (Moscioni) Cicogna
August 20, 1952-September 8, 2014

Mary passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the age of 62, after a brave battle with cancer. She is the beloved daughter of Elisabetta and Raniero (deceased). Survived by her sister Rose and her brother Tony. Mary was a loving wife to Giuseppe (Joe) Cicogna for the past 42 years. During those years Mary gave birth to 5 beautiful girls: Sabrina, Sandra Michelle, Julie, Lisa Marie and Diana. She also became a dotting grandmother to 6 grandchildren: Kayla Belle, Emily Megan, Lucas Fortunato, Adam Michael, Matthew Dino and Andrew Joseph. She was also a loving mother-in-law to Michael DeToma, Vince Camarda and Steve D’Aguanno. Mary was a great humanitarian, genuinely interested in children and their well-being. She devoted over 20 years of her life to the role of Trustee with the Toronto Catholic District School Board. Mary went above and beyond to help her schools during her terms as trustee. She left behind a legacy of generosity by setting up a trust fund that is awarded to one grade eight student every year in each of her 10 elementary schools. Mary had a warm smile and gentle manner. She enjoyed crocheting and made lovely keepsakes for family that will always be cherished. Mary’s wishes were that the visitation hours be reserved for family and close friends. The family would like to invite everyone to join us for the funeral mass to fill St. Wilfrid’s Church with love, on Saturday September 13th at 9:30am.
