Passed away peacefully on Saturday March 10, 2018 at the age of 88. Devoted wife of the late Nicola. Proud mother of Vincenzo, Domenico (Maryanne), Bruno (Pina), Raffaele and Mary (Tim Sanger). Cherished Nonna of Cristina (Michael), Stephanie, Vanessa (Shawn), Nicole, Natalie (Adam), Nicola (Lauren), Giacinto. Prononna of Nicholas, Amelia, Megan, Isabelle and Gabriel. Maria will be sadly missed by her many family and friends. A professional baker, baking at Cake Master in Yorkville for over 35 years. The center of all the family gatherings evolved around her kitchen and her cooking and baking. “Forever remembered, Always loved.”
Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy 7 (west of Pine Valley Dr.), Woodbridge, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A mass will be held on Wednesday March 14, 2018 at Our Lady of the Airways Church at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. As expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
