Maria Aguilar de Vargas

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Maria Clara on November 25, 2025 at the age of 90.  She is now reunited in heaven with her devoted husband Jeronimo, her son Rodolfo, and her grandson Jose Rolando whose memory she carried close to her heart.

Maria Clara migrated from El Salvador to Canada 35 years ago to be united with her family. She will be forever cherished by her children Morena (Jose) Cecilia(Boris), Alberto (Luisa), and be treasured by her grandchildren Jose, Eva, Boris, Carolina, Mario, Ismael and Francesco. As well, by all her 11 grandchildren whom will cherish all their memories left in our hearts.

Our mother Maria Clara was beautiful and had a pure and humble soul. Her hard work for mothering her family with love, respect, and resilience through her teachings will carry forward with us always. She showed us strength, courage and compassion in our everyday lives. Maria Clara enjoyed her time at home listening to music being surrounded by her family and cooking delicious meals for all her family and friends. She touched all our hearts and embraced us always with a smile on her face.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home "Weston Chapel", 2035 Weston Road Toronto on Friday from 4pm to 9pm.
A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday November 29th, 2025 at 10:30am.  Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
