Born in Rende, Italy on January 29, 1931 and died on July 28, 2013. It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Maria, who was called to God’s side on July 28, 2013. She joins her loving husband Luigi Aceto. She will be missed by her children Frank (Rosa), Joseph (Deborah), Anselmo Peter (Pina), Emilio, Angelo (Rita). She will be held dear in the hearts of her twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild as well as nieces, nephews, siblings and many friends. She had a profound impact on all who knew her.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy. 7 (west of Pine Valley Dr.), Woodbridge on Thursday, August 1st from 6-9pm and Friday, August 2nd from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 3rd at 10 am from St. Jude’s Roman Catholic Church, 3265 Weston Rd., North York. Burial to follow at Mount Peace Catholic Cemetery (Cawthra Rd., north of Dundas.)
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for Sick Children’s Hospital, War Amps and Make A Wish Foundation.
