With great sadness, we announce the passing of Margarete Katharina Bilzer, who passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026, at the age of 95. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Gerhard.

Margarete was the cherished mother of Rosemarie and Michael (Patricia). She was a loving Omi to Samantha, Stephanie, Daniel, Kirsten, and Kassandra, and a proud great-grandmother to Zora.

Margarete will be deeply missed by her family, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her and carry her love with them in their hearts. Her memory will remain a treasured part of the family she loved so dearly.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, September 18th, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at The Ward Funeral Home Weston Location (2035 Weston Rd., Toronto). A Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at Sanctuary Park Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Arthritis Society Canada.
