Margaret “Peggy” Flookes (nee Cox)
Born April 24th 1911 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Passed away peacefully at the age of 103 on December 24, 2014 at Leisureworld Lawrence, Toronto.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Charles. Loving mother of Thomas (Lucille) of Mississauga, Marilyn Bastien (Fern) of Markham. Dear grandma of Michael, Peter (France), and Thomas Flookes jr. Dear granny of Carolyn Murphy (Brian), Linda Davies (Greg) and Brian Bastien. Great granny of Candice, Evan, Melissa, Nicole, Valerie, Elise, Pascale and Jonathan. Peggy will be missed by all her family and the friends she had made while living in Montreal after immigrating to Canada from Scotland at the age of 16. We would like to thank the staff of Leisureworld Lawrence 3A for their superb care and compassion shown over the last four years.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston, on Monday, December 29 from 2-4 and 7-9.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at (St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 49 George Street, Toronto) on Tuesday, December 30 at 11:00am. Cremation to follow.
