Promoted to Glory on Monday, November 25, 2013 surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Sophie for 45 wonderful years. Loving father of Nicole (James ) and Meredith (David). Proud poppa of Noah, Abigail and Averie. Robert leaves behind his parents Joyce and George Gilbert and his siblings Larry (Bonnie ), Glen (Sharon), Carol and Paul (Elizabeth). He will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, “Woodbridge Chapel” 4671 Hwy #7 Woodbridge, on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at The Salvation Army Etobicoke Temple 2152 Kipling Avenue with visitation at the church from 12-1p.m. Cremation to follow.
