Luisa Tirone

With sorrow in our hearts we announce the passing of Luisa Tirone (Santi) after a courageous battle with cancer.

Cherished wife of Enzo for 40 wonderful years, Luisa was a devoted mother to Marco (Daniela) & Stefania (William), and loving Nonna LuLu to Giorgia, Benjamin, Giovanni, and Louis. Adored sister to Daniela (Charlie) and Nadia (Randy), she will be fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Tony (Michele) as well as her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Never without a smile, Luisa was happiest when spending quality time with her loved ones, especially hosting holidays and creating memories with her children and grandchildren.

A fierce competitor on the court, Luisa was a captain and member of the Veneto Tennis Club for many years. She was an avid Sudoku player and always started her day with a crossword puzzle.

Luisa enjoyed travel and was fortunate to take many special trips, most notably completing 100 km of the Camino de Santiago in Spain over 5 days with her husband.

The void she leaves behind is a testament to the profound impact she had on everyone she met, and she will be remembered as a pillar of strength and source of unwavering love.

All are welcome to gather at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge on Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. & 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Peter’s Parish in Woodbridge on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sinai Health Foundation.
