It is with heavy hearts, yet profound gratitude for a life beautifully lived, that we announce the passing of Lucy Fontecilla. Surrounded by the gentle embrace of her family, Lucy peacefully departed this world on March 12, 2025. Born in the vibrant city of Santiago, Chile, Lucy carried the warmth and spirit of her homeland throughout her life, enriching the lives of everyone she encountered.

Lucy was the heart of her family, a loving mother, a cherished grandmother (Noni), a supportive sister, and a loyal friend. Her home was a haven of laughter, delicious Chilean cuisine, and the comforting sounds of shared stories. Her greatest joy was found in the simple moments spent with her loved ones, whether it was a lively family gathering, a quiet afternoon of conversation, or a shared cup of tea. Her grandchildren, whom she adored, knew her as 'Noni,' a source of endless hugs, wise advice, and playful adventures.

Lucy’s kindness extended beyond her family. She possessed a remarkable ability to make everyone feel valued and welcomed. Her gentle spirit and genuine empathy touched the lives of many. She faced life's challenges with grace and resilience, always maintaining a generous heart.

We invite those who knew and loved Lucy to join us in celebrating her remarkable life and commemorating her memory next Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 9:00 am at Ward Funeral Home.
