It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest Luana who passed away on October 13 in her 64th year. Luana was born to Antonio and Gilda Petaccia in Pescara, Italy on June 2, 1959.
Beloved wife of Joe. Cherished mother of Francesco (Symona) and Alessandra. Cherished Nonna to Rosalie. Dearest sister of Carla and Diana; sister in law of Elia and Anna. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews & extended family.
Luana loved dancing, her and Joe made many happy memories together on the dance floor over the years.
Our grief over losing her is infinite, and our loving memory of her will always remain in our hearts.
Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge) on Sunday October 16, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Roch’s Catholic Church (2889 Islington Ave.) on Monday, October 17, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Glendale Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to Villa Leonardo Gambin Long Term Care, who provided great care and comfort to Luana over the past seven years.
