Mercer, Lois (nee Porter)

Peacefully passed away on Wednesday April 25, 2018 with her family at her side.

Predeceased by her loving husband Leo in 1994. Beloved mother to Karen(Gary); Beverley (Barry); Anita (Caroline) and Dianne (Najje). Proud Nanny to Mark and Andrew Walsh; Bobby and Nancy Clarke; Nathaniel Welch and Mckenna Ali. Great-Grandmother to two special boys, Jaxon and Carter. Left to mourn is her sister-in-law Marie Earle and many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family wishes to express our great appreciation to the staff of Fairview Nursing Home, who looked after and cared for Mom during her stay there. They truly made a home for Mom and us. The care and attention was exceptional.

Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of either Ontario or Newfoundland and Labrador. A celebration of Life will be held in Ontario, date to be announced. Mom will be returning to her home Province of Newfoundland to be buried at a later date.
