Livingstone Matthew Huff

June 11,1935 – April 22, 2025

Livingstone – known affectionately as Liv - was born on June 11, 1935 in a small cottage at Sauble Beach, Ontario. In his late teens he sailed the Great Lakes on Merchant Marine ships and later worked servicing cars. Just days after marrying Arlene Jermyn in Wiarton, Ontario, in 1957 – they moved to Toronto to seek new employment opportunities, settle, grow and raise their young family. Ultimately, Liv had a thirty-year career with DeHavilland Aircraft in the northwest end of the city. Liv and Arlene have been members of Weston Park Baptist Church for 62 years, where Liv has faithfully led and served in many meaningful capacities. Liv’s hobby passion was all things cars: driving, tending to, researching, watching and discussing. No matter where Liv travelled, worked or lived at any given time – “The Sauble” was always his truest home.

Liv will forever be lovingly remembered and missed by his cherished wife – Arlene; sons – Livingstone Jr. (Verona), Daniel (Karen), Timothy (Diane); grandchildren - Bethany (Chris), Wesley (Melissa), Nathan (Sammantha), Michael (Gilda), Gregory, Sarah Jane (David), Jake (Stef). Liv was great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren, with two more soon to arrive.

The Service of Remembrance for Livingstone Matthew Huff will take place at Weston Park Baptist Church (1871 Weston Road, Toronto) on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 11am with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Refreshments to follow the service.

The interment of his cremated remains will be in June at Zion Cemetery, Sauble Beach, Ontario.
