Linda (Hamilton) Moreau

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Linda Moreau on June 27, 2026, at her home, at the age of 71.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, on July 24, 1954, Linda immigrated to Canada with her family at the age of 13. She built a beautiful life here, and in 1973, she married Len Moreau, beginning a marriage that spanned more than five decades. Together they raised two children, Jeremy (Ginette) and Yvonne. Linda was a proud and loving grandmother to Simon, Desmond, and Graeme, who brought her endless joy.

Linda’s greatest gift was the love she gave so freely. Gentle, caring, and quick to laugh, she found happiness in simple moments shared with the people she loved.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Nina Hamilton, and by her beloved sister, Doreen. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Len; her children, Jeremy (Ginette) and Yvonne; her grandchildren, Simon, Desmond, and Graeme; her sister, Marion (Jack), and their children, Paul (Sarah) and Angela; her brother-in-law, Bob Myers; her niece, Carol (Jon); her nephew, Craig (Tara); along with extended family and dear friends in both Canada and Scotland.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Linda’s life at Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main Street South, Brampton, Ontario, on Friday, July 3, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. A reception will be held afterward, where all are welcome to gather, share memories, and celebrate a life so deeply loved.

As a breast cancer survivor, Linda understood the importance of compassion and support. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to After Breast Cancer, a charity that helps women undergoing cancer treatment regain confidence and feel like themselves again.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the memories she gave us and the love she leaves behind. She will be missed beyond words and remembered always.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made following the link to: After Breast Cancer
